About Bobby

I have over 30 years of coaching experience. Coaching college, AAU, High School and Jr High players. For the last 15 years I have been training people of all ages and skill levels. In small groups, as well as individual training.

I can set up a program that will help your child’s development and understanding the game of basketball. I will cover shooting, ball handling, passing and athletic agility.

Lessons take place at Saint Albans School, 3551 Garfield St. NW DC, Where I am on the coaching staff.

I will be glad to help you in any way I can.

Thanks

Coach Bobby

While in college, was an assistant freshman team coach.

I played college basketball, and have coached basketball for over 30 years. I'm IYCA certified to develop youth speed & agility.

About the lesson

First I start working on ball handling. The different moves such as crossover, between the legs, behind the back, spin and in and out dribble. All while keeping their heads up. Then layups, form shooting and passing. Depending on the indivdual, I'll do some rebounding, and defensive drills.

Beginners to Pro players.

Look for someone you will be able to work with and is a great communicator. A coach that can instruct you on things you need to improve. A coach who loves teaching basketball, and is patient with their clients.

Sidwell Friends winning the DCSAA basketball championship.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
The questions they should think through are what do I need to improve to become a better player? How much do I want to improve? Will I put in the work and be teachable? Will I listen to my trainer, be patient and have faith in the process?

"Coach Bobby is great. He suggested a few adjustments that have a big impact on my game. He also shared some really practical drills and techniques that I can practice on my own to improve my game. The facility is very nice as well. Definitely recommend."

COACH BOBBY IS THE MAN!!!!
The first session of training my son was AWESOME! He gave him pointers on ball handling, shooting and how to play defense the right way. The very next day at his practice you could see a Huge Difference in my son. From his ball handling to his CONFIDENCE and all of this after one training session? Like Mcgarrett on Hawaii Five-O would say: "BOOK EM DANO"! LET'S GO!!!!"

Coach Bobby was great! We went hard for the first minute to the last. I have played and coached a lot myself, but we did some new drills, which was fun and challenging. Looking forward to more sessions.
