About Lindsey
I am an instructor at a local community college. I have my bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Science and I am certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology. I graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA. I love helping students learn and acheive their goals. I find satisfaction in students' sucess. My goal with tutoring is to break down complex material so that students can understand it and relate to it. Learning should be fun and I hope to make it that way.
I absolutely love the laboratory. I help to diagnose disease in patients. Whether it is diabetes, leukemia, or only dehydration; I can give you the answer from a simple tube of blood. I also test blood in a blood bank to make sure it is safe to give to a patient in need.
I love helping students learn and understand all concepts of health care as well as in the math and sciences. It is so rewarding to see a student gain confidence and acheive their academic goals after meeting with them.
I started out as an assistant and continued my education until I could become an instructor.

I like to first see what the student's goals are. Once their goal is established I like to discuss with them their study habbits and try to show them some helpful tips for organization and time management. At this point we can get into the specific material they are struggling with.
I have worked with all types of students from all different types of backgrounds.
Don't wait until you are behind to get help. When you know that you struggle in an area, get help before you are behind. It is way easier to stay on track than to play catch-up.
