About Matthew
My plan is to help develop each athlete I work with to become better students, sons, daughters, friends, and athletes. I focus on things that go far behind baseball. I first focus on the mental side of the game, then we move to the detailed adjustments. Each athlete has a natural way they move, and I would never want to start over. We build on the foundation they have started. Remember seeing me a few times a week is just the start. It is the athletes job to continue to work on things on their own.
I started with the team I currently coach when they were 8 years old. I have been with them for going on 5 years. I love the ability to help athletes get over the mental hump. Baseball is a game of failure. The athletes need someone in their corner to help them understand how to deal with failures and learn from them.
I have my coaching certification through the State of Nebraska. I have my A, B, and C certifications through USA Baseball. I do yearly background check updates through USSSA Baseball. Associates Degree, and 3 years at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln in education.

I go about this much different than other instructors. I do not want to start over with the athlete. I want to build on the foundation they've already started. I like to take the first practice to watch how they operate with typical hitting and fielding. Then we get to work.

Again, I want to go about this differently than your typical instructors. I need to meet the parent and athlete before any talk of price. I need to make sure the athlete WANTS to work with me first. Life is expensive, talking about a price point before anyone knows if it will be a good fit is the wrong way to do this.
