About Kenny

Hello everyone. My name is Kenny Costa. I am 23 years old and I am a former Division 2 pitcher/SS. I am currently an assistant coach at Mercy College. I have done numerous lessons and have coached multiple athletes (all positions), from ages 5-22. I have been a head coach of two different travel teams ages 14 and 13. My main focus is to get my clients to the next level and to gain not only a more superior skill set, but a great baseball mind as well.

I truly love what i do. I am totally invested in my clients and what needs to be done in order to build athletic excellence. I believe in always being prepared and having a plan. Being an ex collegiate athlete and current coach, I have a great understanding of what players must be able to accomplish on and off the field to get to the next level. I can assure that all of my efforts will be in the best interest of the client and always will consider the health and well being of the athlete throughout the training process. I look forward to meeting and working with all of you. Get ready to take your game to the next level!

I have a bachelors degree in behavioral science/education. I have also been coaching since I was 18 years old. I have been around multiple ex professional players and have been gaining knowledge ever since. Working with athletes from various age groups, I have experienced enough to the point where i am aware of how to be versatile specific to each athlete.

First I will have to get to know the athlete a little before we begin. I strive to get the best understanding of them as athletes and as people prior to beginning the work phase. I like to know their strengths and weaknesses and then build from there. I like to begin with basics such as mechanics and picking the brain of the athlete to see where he or she stands. I pride myself in building not only exceptional athletes, but respectable and well rounded individuals who will learn to respect the game.

I have coached boys and girls of all ages. I have been surrounded by athletes from all backgrounds and ethnicities and skill sets.

My best advice would be to hire someone who you can connect to on a personal level that you feel comfortable with. It isnkeybto be comfortable in a one on one setting to assure the best quality results.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
He or she should consider things that they feel are the weakest points of their game. That way we can build on the strengths and even out those weaknessses to create a dynamic athlete.
