About Jonathan

My name is Jonathan Dziedzic. I was a professional baseball player for the Kansas City Royals organization from 2013-2019. I played high school baseball at Atascocita High School, and college ball at Lamar University. I currently am an instructor at Southeast Texas Baseaball academy at Ford Park in Beaumont, TX. I coach a 17u and 12u team. I also do lessons in Dayton, TX as well. I have been doing pitching lessons for 8 years. I have worked with kids ranging anywhere from 8- college players.

I enjoy the oppurtunity to work with players of all ages and help this get better. I enjoy watching them develop through consistent hard work. It's fun to see something click with a player and watch them start to believe in themselves.

I've always enjoyed doing baseball camps/ clinics throught high school- pro ball. I started giving lessons early in college and stuck with it. I enjoy helping players learn to play the game of baseball the right way.

I went to college for Kinesiology with emphasis on physical education/ teaching. I played baseball for 25 years starting at age 4. I have learned from many differnt coaches with different philosophies whether it be in travel ball, High school coach, College coach, and numerous professional coaches.

About the lesson

The first session is usually very basic to give me an oppurtunity to see what the player can do. We will do a little bit of everything (throw, hit, field, and pitch). It also gives me a chance to get to know the player. At the end I will give him a couple of things to work on for the next week or until we meet again. From then on its just a progression. The better they get at things then we advance to other drills/ skills.

I have worked with students of all ages. Anywhere from just starting off in little league all the way through professional players.

Do your research and find someone who has the time to invest in you. Some people may be "better" but they have so may clients that your just another person on the list. In order to develop you want a great coach, but also someone you can reach to for advice/ questions.

Also find someone who is qualified to be coaching you. There are tons of options out there these days, make sure you find the right fit for you, if you do a lesson and don't like it find someone else who you trust and enjoy learning from. In the end at younger ages it needs to be fun. If the child is not having fun and doesn't want to be there they will probably not get much from that teacher/ coach.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I don't think there is really a bad question to ask a teacher. If you don't know/ understand something your teacher is teaching ask them. If they can't explain it to you in a way that you can understand, then they probably shouldn't be teaching you that skill.

Perfect! Coach Jonathan has been the best pitching coach my son has had. He is very knowledgeable of how the game is played now a days. My son is 14 and has vastly improved his pitching mechanics. We will continue to go for lessons through high school. Highly recommend!

For the most part I have a standard system.

30 minutes- $40

45 minutes- $50

more than 45 minutes I can discuss pricing if interested.

Most of my lessons run a little more than the alloted time depending on how busy I am that day. I like to get in as much work as possible.
