I have a Ph.D., a decade of experience in the college classroom, formal training as a writing tutor, and three years' experience as a full-time tutor. I have assisted graduate students in a variety of professional and academic fields, ranging from History to Nursing to Education to Dance Studies to Sociology/Policy, and more.

While I primarily help students with theses and dissertations, providing a service that sits between proofreading and full developmental editing (thus making my services more affordable for graduate students), I have also successfully helped many high schoolers nationwide prepare for Advanced Placement exams in History, Government, Literature, Language, and more.
In working with graduate students, I emphasize organization and clarity in writing; help students contextualize their literature reviews and use them to serve the rest of their work; and serve as a sympathetic counselor and cheerleader for students who may be struggling with teaching demands, difficult committee members, absent advisors, mental health challenges, and more.

I have a very generous cancellation policy for students who schedule online lessons: a student may cancel without penalty until three hours before the scheduled start time. Any cancellations fewer than three hours before the scheduled start time will be charged a fee equal to the cost of the lesson. Students who are more than 30 minutes late will also be charged a fee equal to the cost of their lesson.
