About Jeremy
Active Access is founded on the principles of accessibility and inclusion for all hearing, Deaf, hard of hearing, and deaf-blind people. Building and strengthening personal and professional relationships is the cornerstone of our work as we remove barriers between individuals. We believe all people have value and that everyone has a role in communication access. Many people, including healthcare professionals, law enforcement officers, and even friends and family members, often find themselves wishing they were able to communicate more effectively with sign language users. Whether your goal is to broaden your professional skills or just to make new friends, learning American Sign Language has limitless benefits and it is never too late to start learning!
Instruction is provided by Jeremy Atkins, an experienced certified American Sign Language Interpreter and advocate for people of all abilities. Mr. Atkins has been involved in his local Deaf community for over twenty years. He has experience interpreting in a wide variety of settings, including healthcare, mental health, education, religious services, and family events such as reunions, funerals, and many others. He welcomes all questions and motivates students to develop their skills at their own pace.
Jeremy Atkins is a certified Sign Language Interpreter and experienced tutor for students of all ages.
