About Jaid

I am an experienced science educator with classroom experience at both the high school and middle school level who is passionate about helping students! I have several years of student teaching and tutoring experience. I am able to teach groups as well as one-on-one lessons. I personally scored a 33 on the ACT, with a 35 in science, and I have ample experience teaching the concepts necessary to obtain a great score on the exam. I also have experience teaching many science subjects at multiple levels!

I greatly enjoy being able to help a student reach new understanding of a difficult science concept. I have experience teaching and tutoring from 6th grade through college and am confident tutoring science subjects and test prep to all students within that range. I am very passionate about helping students love learning and reaching a growth mindset and I am very excited to help you do the same!

I am a certified general science educator for grades 6-12. This means that I have completed a variety of science courses, from basic biology and chemsitry courses to more specialized courses like cellular biology and entomology. Each of these courses gave me research opportunities and increased my understanding of various scientific concepts. I also have multiple years of tutporing and teaching experience with grades 6 through college level students.

About the lesson

My typical process is to discover if my student has any resources that they are currently using and need assistance with specifically, especially if they are able to share them ahead of a lesson. My next step is to ascertain the student's level of comprehension. Afterwards, I help the student increase that level lesson by lesson, either with my own resources or theirs.
