About Satya
My goal as an ACT tutor is to give my students their best chance at getting into their dream school. I do this by tailoring each lesson to a different area of the exam with which a student struggles. This includes: Math, English, Reading, Science, and Time Management. I received a composite ACT score of 35, scoring a 35 on each section of the exam. This led me to the honors program of a top 10 undergraduate business school.
I enjoy ACT tutoring because it gives me a chance to help make a difference in students' lives, especially at such an important turning point both personally and professionally. This service truly gives me a chance to pass on my knowledge and I am excited to see how this service can impact someone's future.

Prior to my first meeting with a student, I will ask preliminary questions regarding their ACT experience. If they have not already taken the exam, I will provide a link to an official practice test and they will take it before the first meeting to determine their strengths and weaknesses. Then, I will use ACT learning strategies to improve a student's weaknesses and turn them into strengths. I will also supplement the areas the student did well on with a more strategies to fine-tune their ACT ability.
I would tell a student to figure out what exactly they are looking for in their teacher and decide if a tutor is willing to put an interest into their student. I feel that it is extremely important to find a teacher that wants to invest their time and truly cares about developing thier students.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should mainly think about what they want to get out of this experience: What is a realistic goal that you would want to reach? How much effort are you willing to give to improving your score? What are subjects that you already know you need help with? Questions like these will make this experience run much more smoothly and benefit students even more.
