About Amelia
I would love to help. I find online tutoring works quite well.
I'm a software engineer recently retired. My work experience includes coding in C++, Java, and C in the Linux environment. I have used tools such as vi and Eclipse. I have experience with various scripting languages including various Linux shells and Python. I am an expert at software design techniques including UML and object-oriented.
I got started in tutoring by tutoring a friend's adult son in calculus. I so enjoyed the experience thought I'd reach out for some more tutoring experiences.
I have been tutoring with Wyzant for one year. I have had students in algebra, geometry, calculus, GRE, GED, LINUX, Java, C and C++.
I received my high school outstanding math student award, got a 800 perfect math SAT score, and at Michigan State University I got the top score on my calculus final. I finished my formal education getting a masters degree in Electrical Engineering at CALTech (Big Bang Theory). But that was all a long time ago.
I'm a married mother of two adult children. My 28 year old daughter is a veterinarian (TAMU) living in Germany. My 25 year old son is working in his field of Computer Engineering (UNM).
