About Edward
My name is Mr. Ed. I was a teacher at Cherokee Heights Middle School in Madison, Wisconsin for 7 years before I moved to Costa Rica (please respond for online tutoring only, gracías).
I taught in a bilingual program in Madison which included instruction in Spanish and English languages. Over the years, I taught Math, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies, and eventually became a Special Education teacher. I also enjoyed sponsoring after-school clubs that were for building community and to further academic growth. In my profile picture you can see me with my MathCounts team that I led to a state competition.
I look forward to tutoring new students in any subject in English or Spanish. I especially enjoy teaching math, from basic calculations to algebra or even calculus.
I understand my students with all learning styles and levels and am good at helping students feel comfortable and confident so they are able to overcome difficulties. I know we will be successful. We can do it together!
