About Rachel
I have studied special education, which sets me apart. I know how to work with students in a way that can be broken down. I look at the end goal and backwards map from there. Some times it requires going over the foundational skill in order to get the big picture.
I love the moment when it clicks for a student! It is so rewarding to see the a-ha moments! Each student learns at their own pace, therefore sometimes the click happens slower for one over another.
I graduated in May 2020 from Towson University with a bachelor's degree in special education. I completed my internships in high school english and middle school special education (all subjects, lifeskills, social skills.) I worked in a daycare throughout high school and for summers in college! I have worked with kids from two years old to eighteen years old.

I focus on the relationship, as that is the foundation to any working relationship. I like to have a connection to build trust that the student and I can work through whatever they might be having trouble with.
I have worked with all types of students. I have worked with students with and without disabilities. For those students who do have a disaviliy, I have worked with students who have the following: ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual disability, etc.
