About Berfin
Merhaba! I am Berfin :)
I am a professional Turkish Language and Literature teacher based in Melbourne. Since moving here in 2022, I have been teaching students across Australia and globally, building on my professional teaching foundation from Turkey. With over 4 years of experience, I focus on making the language practical and natural for everyone I work with, from preschool children to mature adults.

Qualified & Safe: I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Turkish Teaching and a specialized certificate in Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language. I also previously held a Permission to Teach (PTT) from the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) and have a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
My Approach
I believe that structure and consistency are key to learning a language. I don’t just teach grammar; I help you understand how the language actually works in daily life. I have many students who started with me in my first year and are still continuing their lessons today, as we constantly evolve the material to match their progress.

Perfect! Berfin has been the perfect tutor! Learning as an adult is not easy but she is so patient and accomodating to my stay at home mum busy lifestyle. After only a few months I have learnt so much and feel much more equipped to continue my learning Turkish journey.
