About Lisa

Teaching English isn't just my job—it's my passion. With 10 years of experience first in classroom settings in Asia, and now online and face-to-face tutoring, I've earned two TEFL certificates and helped numerous students reach their language goals. I became a teacher because I love connecting with people from different cultures and empowering them to find their own voice in English. My teaching style focuses on real conversation: we'll discuss actual issues, analyze fascinating articles, and practice natural English so you can speak with absolute confidence in everyday situations.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on moving you from intermediate and upper-intermediate to advanced, natural fluency. True fluency isn't about perfect grammar—it's about feeling relaxed and confident enough to express your thoughts spontaneously in any situation.

My Methodology
Traditional classes often make you overthink grammar. My approach is different.
We focus on Real Vocabulary in Context: Learn natural idioms, phrasal verbs, and phrasing directly through conversation, not boring word lists.
Relaxed Practice: Speak without fear of making mistakes. I create a safe environment to help you build confidence and speak smoothly.
Smart Feedback: I will never interrupt your flow. Corrections and improvements are shared smoothly so you learn without losing momentum.

Example Lesson Outline (60 Minutes)
Warm-Up (10 mins): Casual chat to get you speaking, transitioning into an interesting main topic (business, news, culture, debates etc).
Deep Discussion (25 mins): You do most of the talking. I help you express complex ideas with more advanced language.
Vocabulary Lab (15 mins): We review new words and better phrasing from our discussion, practicing them immediately.
Feedback & Review (10 mins): Clear feedback on your progress, pronunciation tips, and customized materials to look over before next time.
