About David B
Students feel the energy flowing through their bodies, and expand their energy and well-being inwards and out to everything around them.
William C.C. Chen encouraged me to teach after I had been practicing for years. I have enjoyed sharing the principles of Tai Chi Chuan with others since 1995.
Many years of meditation, and Tai Chi Chuan study with two leading teachers since 1978, have made a big difference for me. I am also a licensed psychotherapist, which helps with overall awareness of other people and what would be helpful for them.

Each student is taught the Yang-style short form, from the start. There is a balanced focus on specific movements along with feeling connection and allowing energy flow.
I have two assistant instructors, but I also work with all beginners for a significant part of each hour-long class. Together, we can help both the advanced students and the new students.
Try out a class, and see how you feel and whether the hour may be leading toward your goals. Comfort with the teaching approach, the classroom environment, and of course your response to Tai Chi Chuan practice, are all important.
Here is a recent statement a student shared with me: "Having this Sunday class makes my Monday mornings feel much better. I am less tense."

David is an excellent Yang Style Tai Chi teacher with deep knowledge and a calm, encouraging teaching style. Classes are well-structured, welcoming, and beneficial for both body and mind. I’ve seen real improvements in balance, flexibility, and stress reduction. Highly recommended.
I enjoy the classes. David has many years of experience in Tai Chi Chuan, and expresses that in the way he teaches. He seems to have alot of compassion and is able to instruct students on an individual way.
