About Missy
I have been a Speech-Language Pathologist for almost a decade and have a passion for helping students reach their full potential. I focus especially on both reading and listening comprehension skills as well as vocabulary and writing development.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with clients of all age ranges from preschool to early adulthood. I've worked primarily with PreK-middle school the last several years, and I thoroughly enjoy working with kids of all ages. I love incorporating reading into therapy and want to show all my clients that reading can be fun as well as educational. I particularly enjoy working in areas such as reading comprehension, vocabulary skills, writing development, as well as social pragmatics and communication.

My lessons are tailored to needs of each individual and a focus on their interests or anything that I feel that they would particularly enjoy. Using their interests to target skills makes it more fun as learning should be enjoyable! I use interactive games, books and even short videos at times to promote target areas. Lessons end with a follow up to address carryover to encourage progress between meetings.
