About Alan

I’m Alan Acosta, a college soccer player and experienced soccer coach with a strong background in competitive youth and college soccer. I have played at the JUCO level, competed in competitive club environments, and have had opportunities to train with professional teams. These experiences have taught me the importance of discipline, consistency, confidence, and understanding the game.

As a coach, I take pride in being patient, professional, and committed to helping every player improve. I understand that every player develops differently, so I take the time to understand their strengths and areas for improvement and build training around their individual needs.

My goal is to create a positive and competitive environment where players feel comfortable making mistakes, learning, and pushing themselves. Whether a player is just starting out or competing at a high level, I want every session to leave them feeling more confident and prepared for their next game.

I work with players ages 5–18+ and welcome players of all skill levels. My training focuses on technical development, finishing, 1v1 ability, passing and receiving, soccer IQ, confidence, and game-specific decision-making.

About the lesson

My approach to soccer training is focused on helping players become more confident, intelligent, and technically skilled players. I don't just teach players what to do — I explain why they are doing it so they can understand how to use those skills in real games.

Each lesson is personalized based on the player's age, position, experience, and areas they need to improve. I use technical exercises, ball mastery, passing and receiving, 1v1 situations, finishing, movement, and game-like decision-making. I also make sure sessions are competitive and challenging while keeping them fun.

A typical session starts with a dynamic warm-up and ball touches, followed by technical work focused on the player's individual goals. We then progress into more game-specific exercises such as 1v1s, finishing, attacking combinations, or decision-making under pressure. I finish sessions by challenging the player to apply what we worked on in realistic game situations.

What sets me apart is my experience as both a player and a coach. I have played at the college level and have experience competing in different environments, including club, JUCO, and professional-level trials. I bring that experience into my training and focus on developing the complete player — not just improving individual skills.

My lessons are designed for players ages 5–18+, from beginners who are learning the fundamentals to competitive players looking to take their game to the next level. I also work with players who want position-specific training, including midfielders, wingers, and other attacking players.
