About Rio
I’m a singing tutor with over 6 years of experience and an Advanced Diploma in Singing. I specialize in teaching young children and early teens using fun, creative, and playful methods. I believe that learning to sing should be joyful and engaging, so I use games, movement, and storytelling to help students understand pitch, rhythm, and vocal basics. My lessons often include folk songs, Disney favorites, musicals, and other age-appropriate music to keep things lively and relatable. I focus on developing healthy vocal techniques that suit each child’s unique voice and stage of growth. Building confidence is just as important as skill, so I create a safe space where students feel comfortable expressing themselves. Listening skills and musical curiosity are nurtured every step of the way. I love seeing young singers discover the joy of making music and gain pride in their progress. Singing can be a wonderful adventure—fun, safe, and exciting—and I’m here to guide every young voice on that journey.

Each student learns how to connect emotionally with their songs, enhancing their expressiveness and stage presence. This approach not only improves technical skills but also nurtures their passion for performance.
To track progress, I incorporate practical tools such as ear training apps, metronomes, and recording devices. These resources allow students to hear their development and identify areas to improve. Regular feedback and self-monitoring boost motivation and keep lessons engaging. Together, we work toward a confident, accurate, and expressive vocal performance.
