About Sammy

I am a self-taught game developer with nearly four years of hands-on experience in Unreal Engine 5 and over four years of programming experience in C and C++. My knowledge is not theoretical — it has been built project by project, through real development work that has resulted in three shipped games, two of which were submitted to competitive game jams. Every concept I teach is something I have applied in a real development environment.
I take tutoring seriously and hold myself to a high standard of professionalism. Sessions are structured, punctual, and focused entirely on your progress. I communicate clearly, adapt to your learning pace, and make sure you leave every session with a genuine understanding of what we covered rather than just steps to follow. If something is outside my area of expertise, I will tell you honestly rather than waste your time.
My goal is simple — to give you the foundation and confidence to build games on your own. Whether you are just starting out or looking to level up your existing skills, I am here to help you get there.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is hands-on and student-driven. Rather than lecturing through slides or theory-heavy explanations, I believe the fastest way to learn game development is by building something real from the very first session. I adapt to each student's pace and goals, so whether you are a complete beginner opening Unreal Engine for the first time or an intermediate developer trying to bridge the gap between Blueprints and C++, lessons are structured around what you actually need.
A typical lesson starts with a brief check-in to understand where the student is and what they want to accomplish that day. From there we jump directly into the engine or editor, working through concepts in a practical context rather than in isolation. I explain the why behind what we are doing, not just the how, so students walk away with understanding they can apply independently rather than steps they memorized.
What sets me apart is the combination of Blueprints and C++ knowledge under one tutor. Most UE5 tutors specialize in one or the other. Being comfortable in both means I can meet students where they are and help them grow in whichever direction suits their goals. I also have real shipped projects including two game jam submissions, so everything I teach comes from genuine development experience rather than textbook knowledge.
These lessons are for anyone interested in game development regardless of age or background. No prior experience is required for beginner sessions. Intermediate students looking to deepen their UE5 or C++ skills are equally welcome.
