About Iryna
My name is Iryna, and I have been living in the UK for the past 22 years. Originally from Ukraine, I am a native speaker of both Russian and Ukrainian.
In 1999, I graduated from Kharkiv State Pedagogical University in Ukraine, where I obtained an MSc degree and qualified as a philologist, teacher of French, and translator.
In 2013, I completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Modern Foreign Languages (French and Russian) in the UK.
I have many years of experience teaching French and Russian as foreign languages to students of different ages and proficiency levels. I offer lessons tailored to individual learning needs and goals. In addition, I have extensive experience conducting GCSE and A-Level speaking examinations at local schools.

I teach Russian at different levels, from beginners to advanced learners.
For beginners, my lessons are designed for students with little or no prior knowledge of Russian, as well as those with some basic understanding of the language. The lessons focus on developing speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Students participate in dialogues, discussions, and other interactive language activities to build confidence in speaking and improve their pronunciation.
For intermediate and advanced students, I provide a variety of adapted literary texts accompanied by exercises and in-depth discussions to expand vocabulary, improve comprehension, and develop fluency.
For GCSE and A-Level students, I offer comprehensive exam preparation, including coverage of key topics, practice of written tasks, listening exercises, reading comprehension, and speaking skills required for the examinations.
