About Marleen
I am a professional cellist with a Masters degree from the Royal Academy of Music. I have over 10 years of experience in teaching, from beginners (ABRSM Grade 1) to advanced (ABRSM Diploma). My joy of teaching has led to my students' successful results (ABRSM and A level exams, auditions to chamber music courses) and motivation to learn and tackle new challenges. I have hosted many student concerts to provide continuous performing opportunities.

I want my lessons to be fun and positive, where my students go home feeling happier and better about themselves, and with the feeling that they’ve learned something new and are inspired to try out. My students describe my lessons as fun, demanding and encouraging, my goal being to motivate and inspire everyone regardless of where they are coming from, whilst providing them with detailed technique and insight.
