About Suzanne
I am and educator and have a Ph. D. in Elementary and Early childhood Education. I have taught grades K-5 and College. I was in charge of the teacher preparation program at the University of Florida. I have the Reading Endorsement and have been a teacher trainer of phonics and reading programs. My strengths include building positive relationships with students and making learning engaging and "fun." I am currently retired after serving as a teacher, school principal, assistant professor, and reading coach. I LOVE teacher and LOVE seeing my students learn. I have worked with students with special needs and gifted and was an ESOL endorse teacher.

My teaching approach is student centered and highly engaging. My steps are as follows: 1) build relationship with student(s); 2) Determine achievement levels in given subejct for each students (what they can do and what they still need to learn how to do; 3) Design a personalized instructional program based upon student interest and learning style; 4) Effectively and efficiently teach what student needs to know and do in order to grow academically; 5) Assess success then proceed from there. If not successful then
reteach using different materials and methods.
