About Amy
I'm an experienced HR Consultant, CIPD tutor and business owner with a genuine passion for helping people succeed. I hold a degree in Business, have achieved both the CIPD Level 5 and CIPD Level 7 qualifications, and I'm currently completing my MA in Human Resource Management.
My career spans 10 years in HR (with many years before in general business practice), working across a wide range of organisations on everything from employee relations and recruitment to leadership development, organisational change and people strategy. Running my own HR consultancy means I bring current, real-world experience into every tutoring session, helping learners bridge the gap between theory and practice.
As someone who has completed the CIPD qualifications myself, I understand the challenges of balancing study alongside work and family life. I know what's expected to achieve high grades and can help you build confidence, understand complex topics and apply your learning effectively.
Whether you're studying for a CIPD qualification, developing as a leader or looking to strengthen your HR and business knowledge, I'll provide supportive, personalised guidance tailored to your goals. I believe the best learning happens when teaching is tailored to the individual. Everyone learns differently, so I take the time to understand your goals, experience and preferred learning style before planning our sessions.
Whether you're studying for a CIPD qualification, developing your leadership skills or looking for support with HR and business strategy, my sessions are practical, engaging and focused on building your confidence. I combine theory with real workplace examples, helping you understand not just what you need to know, but how to apply it.
Lessons are typically 45–60 minutes and are personalised to your needs. We might work through assignment questions, explore difficult topics, prepare for assessments, or discuss how HR and leadership theory applies in practice.
I have 10 years' experience in HR, alongside running my own HR consultancy, and have extensive experience tutoring CIPD learners and delivering leadership and business training. I understand the challenges adult learners face, particularly when balancing study with work and family life, and I provide a supportive, encouraging environment where you can ask questions and learn at your own pace.
My lessons are suitable for adult learners studying CIPD Level 5 or 7, HR professionals, managers, aspiring leaders and business owners looking to develop their knowledge and confidence.
