About Laureen
I have taught in three areas of the country, at the middle and high school levels, in public, private, independent, and boarding schools.The classroom is my favorite place to be, and I have always enjoyed my exchanges with students, whether they were about academics or anything else. They keep me young!

I build trust with the students so that their voice becomes clear in their speaking and writing.Together we go through prose and poetry in order to glean what we can of the author's intent--or what they didn't intend. Verbal dexterity and recognition of literary allusions makes for a literate person, so these are my goals for middle to high schoolers.
