About Courtney
I am a piano instructor with 3 years of teaching experience and a Licentiate of Music in Piano. I enjoy helping students build strong musical skills through patient guidance and consistent practice. My lessons are designed to suit each student's goals, experience, and pace of learning.
I believe learning piano should be active, enjoyable, and meaningful. I encourage students to explore musical expression while developing solid technique and confidence. Along with piano performance, I teach music history, theory, creativity, and practical musicianship to build well-rounded skills.
One of my students began by learning simple melodies and later performed confidently at a local music event. Experiences like this remind me that steady effort leads to lasting progress. I enjoy teaching learners from beginner to expert levels and helping each one reach their potential.
My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and trying new ideas. Every lesson is personalized to help students grow with confidence and enjoy their musical journey. I look forward to helping you achieve your piano goals and enjoy every step of learning.

My piano lessons are planned around each student's learning style, goals, and musical interests. I focus on building strong keyboard technique so every student develops good finger control, posture, and hand coordination. Lessons also include music reading, rhythm, ear training, sight reading, and theory application to create a complete musical foundation.
I believe students learn best when they take an active part in every lesson instead of only following instructions. I encourage regular performance practice because playing for others builds confidence over time. I have seen students who were once nervous become comfortable after performing short pieces during lessons.
Creativity is an important part of learning, so I include simple improvisation and musical expression activities. Students also learn how to understand the feeling behind each piece instead of only playing the correct notes. I connect theory to real music so it becomes useful during practice and performances.
Every lesson is designed to keep learning enjoyable while encouraging steady progress. I provide clear feedback, practical exercises, and achievable goals that help students improve with confidence. My aim is to help every student become a skilled, expressive, and independent pianist.
