About Loraine

Hi, I’m Loraine Manuel, a piano and organ teacher with over 30 years of experience nurturing budding musicians. I hold a Diploma in Music and a Licentiate of Trinity College London (LTCL) qualification. My teaching journey has taken me across international schools, including a rewarding stint in India, where I taught music and movement. I’ve had the privilege of guiding students of all ages—both children and adults—through Grades 1-8 in piano and organ. I’m incredibly proud of the accomplishments my students have achieved over the years, particularly those who’ve excelled in competitions at both national and international levels. In 2023, I was honored with the Best Teacher Award at the 10th Hong Kong International Youth Performance Arts Festival, where my students earned top honors. My passion lies in unlocking the potential of every student and creating an engaging, supportive learning environment.

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to meet the needs of each student, whether you’re a complete beginner or preparing for advanced performances. I offer one-on-one sessions in piano and organ, with the option for group theory classes. Lessons are typically 30, 45, or 60 minutes, depending on your goals and preferences. I’m based in Bangsar, but I’m flexible when it comes to scheduling and lesson locations. I’m happy to teach at my home or yours, and I also offer theory lessons in group settings. Whether you’re preparing for exams, competitions, or simply looking to explore music as a hobby, I’ll create a lesson plan that suits your needs and helps you progress. I look forward to helping you or your child discover the joy of music!
