About Alice

Alice’s professional life is fully filled as a pianist/accompanist, senior piano teacher and music examiner in London, China and Malaysia. She graduated with Bachelor of Music, piano performance from University of Malaya and Royal College of Music, London with Master of Education in Music. She is currently working as music teacher/pianist in London, including as pianist at Royal College of Music Professional Engagement Service, etc.

About the lesson

Alice has dedicated and personalised approaches in teaching and has helped many students to successfully pass and achieve distinction in the music exams such as ABRSM and Trinity for years. Each student is encouraged differently in some relaxed and enjoyable way to the best of their understanding and ability, in order to foster their interest and love of music. On the other hand, aural exercises, piano technique, musical expression and interpretation, as well as performance preparation and practice can be stimulated and progressed with various methods, to help them learn for pleasure or with the goal of sitting in exams, performance, festivals and competitions. Her professional journey reflects her dedication to music and education. Since 2023, Alice has been a Teaching Observer, Supporter, and Mentor in London’s music sessions, including RCM Sparks and Junior Department activities. Prior to this, she served as a Senior Teacher of Music at the China Conservatory of Music (CCMUSIC) in Beijing, where she helped advanced-level students achieve their musical goals. Alice also worked as a Piano and Music Theory Teaching Assistant in Malaysia during her undergraduate studies, demonstrating her early commitment to nurturing young talent. Alice is recognised internationally for her qualifications and achievements. She is a certified Grade Examiner (China Conservatory of Music) and a Senior Grade Examiner (International Musical Arts Association, USA).
