About Gurmeen
I’m Dr. Gurmeen Rakhra, a PhD in Plant Biochemistry with more than 8 years of teaching experience in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and related life-science subjects.
My goal is to make learning simple, engaging, and enjoyable. I believe every student can understand challenging concepts when they are explained clearly and according to their individual learning style. I use practical examples, diagrams, interactive discussions, and concept-based explanations to help students develop both knowledge and confidence.
Whether you are preparing for school examinations, AP/IB Biology, university courses, or simply want to strengthen your fundamentals, I provide personalized lessons at a pace that suits you. I am patient, approachable, and committed to helping every student achieve their academic goals.

I believe effective learning happens when students understand concepts rather than simply memorize information. As a PhD in Plant Biochemistry with more than 8 years of teaching experience, I use a student-centered approach combining clear explanations, real-life examples, diagrams, interactive discussions, and practice questions.
A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previous concepts, followed by an explanation of the new topic in a simple and structured manner. I then use examples, questions, and problem-solving activities to strengthen understanding, followed by a short recap and practice task.
What sets me apart is my ability to simplify complex biological and biochemical concepts and adapt my teaching style to each student’s learning pace and needs.
