About Alex
I am a graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, where I studied Orchestral Percussion and Timpani. After graduating in 2018 I worked for two years as a performing musician and peripatetic teacher.
I’m currently studying a masters in Marimba at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen.

As a percussionist, weather you aim to specialise in one specific instrument or be as versatile as possible, it is very important to have range of knowledge and skills across different instruments, genres and playing techniques.
I aim to give my beginner students a well rounded introduction to percussion, building technical skill and ability, as well as transferable musical/creative skills.
For more advanced students I focus on building a fine level of technical control, and musical expression, enabling them to achieve their musical goals.
