About Maxwell
I’m a young professional working in the policy field with a real passion for economics. I graduated from Queensland University of Technology and Aston University, and I’ve previously tutored high school and early university students in the subject.
I enjoy helping people make sense of economics because once the core ideas click, everything else becomes much easier. My background in policy means I can connect theory to real-world issues, which students often find useful and more engaging.
I’m patient, approachable and focused on building confidence as well as understanding. Whether you’re preparing for exams or just trying to get on top of the content, I’m here to support you.

My lessons are fully online and aimed at high school students (Years 11–12, including HSC, VCE and QCE) as well as first-year university students studying economics. I keep sessions clear and practical. We usually start by identifying the areas you’re finding difficult, then work through the concepts with real-world examples, step-by-step explanations and plenty of graph practice. I also focus on exam technique and how to structure strong written answers. Typical lessons last 60 minutes, though we can do shorter or longer sessions depending on what works best for you. I’m flexible with timing and happy to run regular weekly lessons or just book in when you need extra support before assessments or exams. As a graduate from Queensland University of Technology and Aston University, I understand both the high school curriculum and the jump to uni-level economics, so I can help bridge that gap.
