About Samira
Hello, my name is Samira, I am 34 years old and I was born in Essen, Germany. I am a native German speaker and have successfully completed a Master's degree in Translation at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences and have been teaching German for adults (A1-C2) for 5 years. In 2021, I took a certification for online moderation at the Goethe Institute. I speak fluent English and Portuguese and can explain grammar in these languages as well.
Learning languages and getting to know cultures has always been one of my great passions. So far I have learned 6 foreign languages and I enjoy sharing my knowledge on how to learn languages more easily and with more fun.

My classes are about creating an atmosphere of trust that makes it easier for you to speak without fear. We will talk in German as much as possible from the beginning. This practice will help you to speak fluently in a short time.
For levels A1-B1 I prefer to work with the books "DaF kompakt A1-B1" (Klett) and "A/B Grammatik" (Schubert). For students who prefer a slower learning pace, I recommend the book "Panorama" (Cornelsen).
With advanced students, I put together an individual course based on the student's needs, e.g.: Exam preparation for certificates such as Goethe Zertifikat or TestDaF, help with job applications and preparation for interviews, conversation, reading and writing texts, review of everyday vocabulary, and much more.
I also place great emphasis on practicing correct pronunciation and will be happy to help you improve your pronunciation.
