About Samiya

My name is Samiya Younis, and I am not only an artist but also an educator who is deeply passionate about nurturing creativity and helping individuals unlock their artistic potential. Teaching is not just a profession for me; it is a calling. I believe in the transformative power of art and its ability to inspire, heal, and provoke meaningful conversations. Witnessing the growth and confidence of my students as they explore their creativity is truly gratifying and drives my dedication to teaching. With a background in interdisciplinary art forms, including sculpture, painting, installation, photography, and performance, I bring a diverse range of artistic expertise to the classroom. I have exhibited my work both nationally and internationally, which further solidifies my legitimacy as an artist and educator. My utmost priority as a teacher is to inspire confidence in my students. I strive to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. I understand that each student has their own unique journey and set of goals, and I am committed to tailoring my teaching to meet your individual needs. My aim is to provide guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback to help you to develop your artistic skills and find your unique artistic voice. Professionalism is of paramount importance to me. I hold relevant qualifications, including a graduate degree from the esteemed Royal College of Art, and have taught at reputable institutions such as Central St Martin's College of Art, Ruskin School of Art, and other UAL colleges in London. I am committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and creating a safe and respectful learning environment. I am genuinely excited to embark on this journey of teaching alongside you. About the lesson

As a tutor, I employ a hands-on approach, demonstrating techniques and working alongside my students. I create a supportive and engaging environment that fosters creativity and critical thinking. Lessons are tailored to individual needs, with sufficient time for practice and feedback. With qualifications and experience in fine arts, including teaching at esteemed institutions like Central St Martin's College of Art, Ruskin School of Art, and the University of the Arts London, I bring expertise and guidance to students of various levels and ages. My goal is to empower students to explore their artistic potential and achieve their goals. Sessions can be taught online, at your home, and at my studio.

Perfect! Samiya has been teaching my son private one-to-one art lessons after school, and we have been really impressed with her approach and teaching style.

She plans engaging and varied lessons that have helped him explore different artistic techniques and mediums. So far, they’ve worked on still life drawing, sculpture, and recreating a scene from Diary of a Wimpy Kid using watercolours. Each project has been enjoyable while also helping to build his confidence, creativity, and technical skills.

Samiya is patient, encouraging, and has a wonderful way of making each lesson both fun and educational. My son always looks forward to his sessions and is proud of the artwork he creates. It’s been lovely to see his enthusiasm for art grow under her guidance.

I would highly recommend Samiya to anyone looking for a talented, supportive, and inspiring art tutor for children.
