About Michael
Having tutored this subject over six years, I have significant experience to help my students and achieve the top grades, a good understanding of the key demands of the A-Level syllabus and am able to use this to my student’s full advantage. Separately, I also have considerable political experience and a love for the subject which I always try to pass on to my students! I have a Politics Science degree and a Master's Degree in Law. I took A-Level Politics myself and so understand what it's like to be in your position and tailor our lessons to support your needs.

My students will be tutored in both content knowledge and exam technique as these skills are essential to ensure that you have the correct exam technique to be able to achieve the top grades. The key to success is a combination of solid content knowledge and well-developed essay writing skills. I therefore strongly focus on the use of mark schemes and examiner's reports. I have tutored the A-Level Government & Politics course for over 6 years. Most of my students achieved high grades and many have accepted places at top universities. Lessons usually last for 1 hour. I am also able to tailor lessons to address areas of the course which my pupils are struggling with. Such individual attention will greatly benefit you come exam time. As well as the above, I bring my experience of working in front-line politics to all lessons, making the content and theory relatable to my students. My lessons take place online and focus on content and exam technique with a strong focus on past papers.
