About Thaksnayan
I achieved an A* in GCSE English and have 2+ years of previous tutoring experience working with younger students, helping them improve their reading, writing, grammar and comprehension skills. I enjoy teaching because I know how much difference the right explanation and support can make to a student’s confidence. Having tutored before, I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my approach depending on their ability, strengths and areas they find more difficult. I aim to make lessons clear, engaging and supportive, while still keeping them focused on real progress. I’m currently in my final year of A-Levels studying Maths, Economics and Philosophy before heading to university. My academic background has strengthened both my analytical and communication skills, which I bring into my English tutoring. My goal is to help students feel more confident in the subject, improve their performance in school and develop skills they can use independently.

My English lessons are designed to be welcoming, relaxed and encouraging, so students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning at their own pace. I tailor each session to the student’s ability, confidence and goals, whether they need support with reading, writing, grammar, spelling, comprehension or analysing texts. I use clear explanations, examples and targeted practice while regularly checking understanding and adapting my approach where needed. My aim is not only to improve confidence and core English skills, but to help students achieve the grade they need and push beyond it. I want every student to leave lessons feeling more capable, more independent and genuinely confident in their ability to succeed in English.
