About Yara

Hello! I’m a guitar instructor with 4 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in World Music focused on Guitar Traditions. My musical path blends academic knowledge with hands-on playing in metal, shred, and progressive rock. These styles require discipline and creativity. I love helping students discover both.

My lessons emphasize speed and precision. Technique always comes first. We work on alternate picking, legato runs, sweep picking, and tapping techniques. These skills are developed gradually.

Young players and adult learners are both welcome in my lessons. Everyone brings a unique musical background. I adapt lessons to match your level and interests. Some students want to play crushing riffs. Others aim for fast and expressive solos.

About the lesson

I teach guitar with a focus on creative lead playing and expressive soloing. Students learn phrasing, articulation, and melodic ideas to make their solos memorable. Lessons emphasize shaping solos with intent rather than playing notes at random.

Improvisation is developed step by step using scales, chord tones, and musical motifs. Rock and blues techniques, including bends, vibrato, and slides, are practiced with attention to detail. I show how small gestures can add emotion and personality to solos. Students also learn to build natural-sounding phrases.

Some students explore jazz harmony and melodic improvisation. Others gravitate toward energetic rock solos and expressive lead lines. I support both paths, helping learners develop their unique voice. Technical skills, creative thinking, and listening grow together in lessons. The goal is expressive, confident soloing.
