About Olivia

I've been singing my entire life, quite literally...I performed in my first opera at the age of six and never looked back! I'm currently a London-based soprano, having just finished the Opera Course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where I also received my Master of Music. In September, I'll be relocating to Hamburg where I'll start working for the Staatsoper there. I've sung in the Barbican Concert Hall, Wigmore Hall, and LSO @ St. Luke's during my three years in London. I'm a 2021 City Music Foundation Artist and Vocal Fellow at Guildhall.

Originally from the States, I graduated from Oberlin Conservatory in 2017. I've been teaching on and off for the last couple of years but have really grown to love connecting remotely online, helping my students embrace their voices and bodies even while we can't be together!

About the lesson

Looking for an energetic, enthusiastic online vocal teacher who knows how to push you just the right amount?

I'm a technique nerd and am obsessed with finding the freest sound, but I think that we always have to keep in mind that technique is the vehicle for expression. I focus on using the natural structure of your body in the most efficient and engaged way to keep the throat as free as possible. While we will focus a lot on finding proper alignment of the voice, we will always work on style, text, translations, and character as well.
