About Emily

Nothing makes me happier than seeing someone light up when they finally get that thing they have been struggling with. I want to help you learn the basics and foundations of design so you can create in your own way. I am a key trainer at my current place of work and have trained many other people externally. All have said my approach is accessible and easy to learn. I am patient and will go through what you need as many times as it takes because we all learn at a different pace. Reach out today to see if we would be a good fit.

About the lesson

Hi there, my name is Emily and I have over 7 years' experience as a graphic designer and artist. I’ve worked mostly in fashion and retail and have a knack for teaching people how to use Photoshop, InDesign and all the other tools you need to learn to design. Whether you just want to learn to retouch your photos or learn the key skills to be a designer, I can help you. I am happy to work with all ages and willing to come to you or teach remotely. Whatever works best. Lessons will be 1 hour unless requested to be longer or shorter.

I had the pleasure of working with Emily for about 2 years for the same company on different projects which required ad hoc design solutions. What I have always admired about Emily is her kind approach and the ability to solve problems creatively and to translate the Visual Merchandising/company vision into impressive and effective designs.
Not only is she a talented Graphic Designer, but she is also an invaluable communicator and collaborator who consistently delivers high-quality work within tight deadlines and within the budget.

Emily is very thorough, relaxed and clear in her teaching. We've worked together for 3 years and everytime I've needed some help with photoshop, she's been willing and able to provide me with a clear instructions and tips on how best to use the software for my benefit. Always supportive and always polite. I can't really ask for a better tutor.
