About Buster

The most important thing for me is for you to feel CONFIDENT using German, so I always adapt to your level and make sure you feel at ease in our lessons. We progress from this foundation, targeting different areas of grammar, pronunciation or vocab depending on your strengths and weaknesses. I like to give my tutees the opportunity to figure things out for themselves first, but I'm always ready with a good explanation :)

I'm a fluent German speaker with a BA in Modern Languages with Linguistics (1st class) and have taught in secondary schools in the UK, so I really understand the differences between German and English and why certain elements of grammar or pronunciation can feel tricky! As a native English speaker, I've been through it before and can help you avoid all the common pitfalls.

About the lesson

For adult learners, my aim is to always make sure we're learning the German that is useful to YOU. The topics we learn about depend on your work, hobbies and life, so you can talk about them in German with the same passion you would in English!

At GCSE or A-Level we will work on the topics you have been set, using examples at your level to naturally build your vocabulary, and we will tackle any grammar you find difficult together.

My lessons will always be adapted to you, depending on the level you are comfortable at. Tutoring is a collaborative process, at any point in the lesson if it's too fast or too slow, we can always adjust the pace to suit you!
