About Alex
Hello! I'm an experienced game programmer with a strong background in C, C++, and C#. I've worked on multiple game projects and systems, and I specialize in helping learners bridge the gap between knowing how to code and actually building real, working games. Who This Is For -Beginners with a basic grasp of programming fundamentals -Students looking to apply what they've learned in class -Developers from other fields interested in transitioning into game programming What You’ll Learn -Fundamentals of modular, maintainable code -Industry-grade programming best practices -How to manage and scope your own game projects -How to stay organized and finish what you start -Strategies for tackling larger or long-term projects -Version control and workflow using Git and GitHub How This Course Will Progress We’ll begin by identifying and improving habits which may make it more difficult to build larger projects You’ll then start building reusable systems and components that simplify future development and allow you to focus on the bigger picture of your projects. Toward the end of the course, we’ll concentrate on project tracking, long-term planning, and building sustainable momentum to help you finish what you start. What Sets Me Apart I don’t just teach syntax — I teach engineering. This course focuses on applying your knowledge to solve real problems. You'll learn how to write code that supports your creativity, instead of slowing you down. Every lesson is designed to be immediately applicable, and every assignment reinforces your ability to build, adapt, and deliver working games. Because this course focuses on applying theory to projects while I strongly recommend Unity or Unreal depending on your goals if there's another piece of technology you'd prefer please do ask in advance.
