About Jared

I am a Full Stack Developer and IT Systems Analyst with years of experience leading enterprise-level web projects and mentoring teams. My career has spanned everything from front-end design with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to back-end development with PHP and MySQL, giving me a complete perspective on how modern websites are built and maintained. What excites me most is teaching beginners how to unlock the world of web development. I know how intimidating coding can feel at first, so I focus on making lessons approachable, clear, and confidence-building. My teaching style blends structured guidance with hands-on practice, ensuring that students not only understand the concepts but also apply them in real projects. I set myself apart by bringing real-world insights from enterprise environments into beginner lessons. You’ll learn not just how to code, but how to think like a developer — solving problems, building scalable solutions, and following best practices that prepare you for future growth. Whether you’re a student exploring coding for the first time, a professional adding new skills, or simply curious about how websites work, I’ll meet you at your level and help you progress step by step. My goal is to make web development feel less like a mystery and more like an exciting skill you can use to create, innovate, and succeed.

About the lesson

I bring over a decade of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer and IT Systems Analyst, with a proven track record of leading enterprise‑level projects and mentoring teams. My background means I don’t just teach coding — I teach how to think like a developer, solve problems systematically, and build websites that are scalable, accessible, and future‑proof. Students benefit from real‑world insights that go far beyond textbook examples.

My Teaching Method and Techniques

• Beginner‑Friendly Approach: I specialize in guiding absolute beginners, breaking down technical concepts into clear, digestible steps.
• Hands‑On Learning: Every lesson includes practical coding exercises where you’ll build something tangible, reinforcing theory with application.
• Iterative Progression: I use a step‑by‑step method, ensuring you master fundamentals before moving to advanced topics.
• Accessible Explanations: I emphasize clarity and patience, using analogies, diagrams, and real‑world examples to make complex ideas simple.
• Confidence Building: My goal is not just to teach you code, but to help you feel confident applying it independently.

A Typical Lesson Plan

1. Warm‑Up: Quick recap of the previous lesson and Q&A.
2. New Concept: Introduction to a core topic (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or databases).
3. Guided Practice: We build a small project together, such as a webpage or interactive feature.
4. Independent Exercise: You try coding on your own with my support.
5. Review & Feedback: We discuss what worked, troubleshoot issues, and highlight best practices.
6. Preview: A look ahead to the next lesson, connecting today’s learning to future skills.

What Sets Me Apart

• Enterprise Experience: I’ve led large‑scale web projects, including site rebrands and cloud migrations, so I know what skills matter in the real world.
• Accessibility Advocate: I teach you how to build websites that are inclusive, user‑friendly, and aligned with modern standards.
• Creative Educator: I use storytelling, metaphors, and visual aids to make lessons engaging and memorable.
• Mentorship Mindset: I don’t just teach — I coach. I help you develop problem‑solving skills, confidence, and a growth mindset.

Who These Lessons Are For

• Absolute beginners with no prior coding experience.
• Students in high school or college exploring web development for the first time.
