About Matthew
I bring 15 years of experience performing in orchestral, chamber, and solo settings. I also have over 4 years of teaching experience in subjects including flute performance, music theory, and musicianship. My diverse range of experiences — in the UCLA ensembles, community orchestras, gig work — has equipped me with the perspectives necessary to teach students with a comprehensive understanding of music across settings. My formal training in music theory and composition also enables me to provide thorough instruction in this domain, which complements performance work greatly.
