About Mananya
I’ve been playing flute for over 10 years, including as a senior section leader in a competitive high school marching band and as a solo performer in regional ensembles. I’ve taught students of all ages and levels, and I’m especially skilled at helping beginners build a strong foundation in tone, rhythm, and technique. My lessons are structured, encouraging, and always tailored to the student’s pace and goals. I take my role as a teacher seriously and am prepared, organized, and ready to help you grow as a musician in a low-pressure, supportive environment. Whether you’re learning for fun, school, or auditions, I’ll guide you every step of the way.

My approach to teaching flute is centered around building both skill and confidence through patient, personalized instruction. I tailor each lesson to the student’s age, level, and goals, whether they’re just starting out, preparing for a school performance, or working on solo repertoire. I focus on fundamentals like tone, breath control, finger technique, and music reading, while also encouraging musical expression and creativity. A typical lesson begins with warm-up exercises, followed by technical work (such as scales or articulation), and then moves into pieces the student is working on, with time for questions and feedback throughout. I bring years of performance and teaching experience, along with a supportive, low-pressure attitude that helps students feel comfortable trying new things and improving at their own pace. My lessons are great for beginners through intermediate players of all ages, and I especially enjoy working with younger students or those who need a flexible, encouraging teaching style.

Mananya has been such a wonderful teacher and mentor! She’s really good at explaining complex concepts in a simple and easy to understand way. Even beyond that, she’s the kind of person that’s always willing to help out whether it be teaching math, or just giving general advice and guidance! Overall one of the best teachers I’ve ever met!
Mananya is one of the most dedicated students I have met. Her work ethic is unmatched and she works very well with kids.
She helped me learn algebra 2 in 6th grade and she's a very responsible person. She'll make sure you pass and excel any class you have trouble in!
