About Safdar
I have a BSc Hons Mathematics and Statistics (Newcastle University), PGCE (Newcastle University ), Cert RSA TESLA, Dip RSA TESL, MA in Organization Planning and Management in Education ( Reading University) and 12 years teaching learners in UK schools including HOD roles in two different institutions. In addition to many years of tutoring small groups and individuals very successfully. I am very passionate about teaching and love to see my students excel and succeed. I have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

In teaching ESL and Urdu on Zoom my method is functional - notional (communicative) and to integrate all 4 skill areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing. I recycle topics to build up to exam level questions (including speaking tasks) and teach as well as assess regularly to make sure that the learning stays on track. This includes the IELTS. It really is a case of practice makes perfect! I also teach Urdu ONLINE from KS3, GCSE and A-level (Edexcel), both as a Modern Foreign Language and a Community Language. In my secondary Mathematics tuition (including Edexcel A-level Further Mathematics - the 2 core papers) I normally start with an appropriate baseline test to find which topics you are good at and those you find a challenge. Then regular topic tests during tuition to measure your progress.
