About Alexander
With a decade of teaching and training experience rooted in Beijing, I've had the privilege of shaping the English language skills of diverse learners, from young professionals to middle school students. My journey began at 精英英语 Elite Learning, where I specialised in imparting business English to budding professionals, honing their soft skills for the corporate world.
My passion for education led me to Oxford Centeriver Training and Consulting LTD. As a Training Manager, I had the unique opportunity to teach ESL business English on-site at renowned Fortune 500 companies across China. My role wasn't just confined to teaching; I was instrumental in implementing standardized testing, curating curricula tailored to client needs, and spearheading teacher training sessions both locally and remotely. My responsibilities also encompassed interviewing and placing teachers in suitable roles, ensuring a seamless fit for both the educator and the institution.
My most recent tenure was at Beijing 21st Century International School, where I wore multiple hats. As a Grade 7 ESL Classroom Teacher, I was entrusted with the academic growth of students aged 11-13. Beyond regular teaching, I took on the mantle of Subject Leader for Language, crafting the curriculum for the entire grade and mentoring fellow ESL teachers. My commitment to holistic education saw me initiating extracurricular ventures like a grade-wide film competition and special classes for students needing extra attention in English. Collaborating with both foreign and Chinese educators, I ensured our teaching goals were aligned and consistently tracked student progress across subjects.
Throughout my career, a constant has been my impeccable time management skills, ensuring that every student receives the attention they deserve, and every class is a step towards linguistic mastery.
