About Shima

I am a dedicated educator currently pursuing a Master of TESOL at Victoria University of Wellington. My journey in education began as a primary school teacher, where I spent three rewarding years helping students develop their English language skills. I am passionate about teaching because I believe that effective communication is the key to unlocking global opportunities. Having transitioned from a professional teaching role in Bangladesh to advanced studies in New Zealand, I understand the challenges learners face and find great joy in helping them overcome these hurdles. My goal is to inspire confidence in my students and share my love for the English language.

About the lesson

"My teaching approach is student-centered, focusing on making English learning both engaging and practical. With three years of professional teaching experience and my current Master of TESOL studies at Victoria University of Wellington, I combine proven classroom methods with modern linguistic theories. I tailor each lesson to meet the student's specific needs, whether it's improving grammar, boosting conversational confidence, or mastering academic writing. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable practicing and perfecting their language skills. Together, we will work on your individual goals to ensure steady progress and academic success.
