About Mark
My Current role is Tutor i/c Humanities at a Pupil Referral Unit and Youth Support Worker within a Council. Both roles give me the hands on vocational experience in formal and informal education/health and social care settings with young people from different backgrounds and a variety of individual needs, of which I enjoy and find very rewarding.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Professional Studies in Learning and Development, having already achieved a Foundation Degree (FdSc) in Social Care Studies and have a Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.
I offer experience from working in a variety of teaching and welfare/social support settings, fulfilling different roles and positions in Schools. On top of these I worked for the Metropolitan Police Service for 2 1/2 years in central and outer London. Furthermore, I have spent two periods teaching English abroad in Thailand during 2016 and 2017.

The theory and content to my lessons are drawn upon my own knowledge and experience as well as formed in accordance with guidelines/standards set out by awarding bodies and exam boards. Delivery is varied through different approaches/techniques including; quizzes, case-studies, information handouts, PowerPoints, online videos and general lectures/discussions.
