About Peyton

My passion for economics developed through an interest in understanding how societies grow, struggle, and evolve through financial and resource-based decisions. This fascination guided me to complete my Master’s Degree in Applied Economics and Economic Policy, where I studied market behavior, financial systems, and government intervention strategies. My academic path strengthened my ability to analyze economic patterns and understand their impact on both local and global communities. For the past eight years, I have been committed to helping students grasp these complex processes with clarity and confidence. I am a thoughtful, patient, and supportive educator. I tailor my explanations carefully to suit each learner’s comprehension level and encourage open dialogue during lessons. I believe economics should not be intimidating; instead, it should empower individuals with the knowledge to better understand their world and their place within it. I take pride in seeing students become more aware, confident, and intellectually engaged as they progress. Outside of teaching, I regularly follow global economic news, read analytical journals, and participate in discussions about sustainable development and financial literacy. I view teaching economics as an opportunity to shape more informed, responsible, and aware individuals. Helping students develop a strong economic mindset is one of the most meaningful aspects of my work.

Economics, in my classroom, is not taught as a distant or abstract theory, but as a living system that influences daily life, personal choices, and global events. I introduce students to economic concepts by connecting them to familiar situations such as buying goods, managing resources, and understanding changes in markets. This connection makes the subject relatable and meaningful. My teaching environment is discussion-based, reflective, and analytical, encouraging students to express opinions while learning to support them with logic and evidence. I focus on helping learners understand how individuals, businesses, and governments make decisions when facing limited resources and unlimited wants.

At the basic level, students explore supply and demand, scarcity, opportunity cost, and simple market structures. These foundational ideas help them develop an understanding of how economies function at a basic level. Intermediate lessons move into inflation, unemployment, fiscal policy, and international trade, introducing more complex relationships within an economy. Advanced students investigate macroeconomic models, global economic trends, development economics, and case studies of real-world economies. They are encouraged to analyze data, interpret graphs, and build strong arguments based on historical and current economic conditions.

As students deepen their understanding, they develop a clearer perception of the world’s financial and political systems. They grow more aware, analytical, and capable of making informed decisions. Economics becomes a valuable lens through which they view society, opportunity, and future planning.
