About Ujjesa
My 6 years of dancing have garnered me proficiency in ballroom, social, and solo performance dance styles, from tango to lindy-hop to cumbia to burlesque. I learned via a combination of group/private lessons and dancefloor experience.
I danced professionally for a year and taught dance for two, though I have extensive teaching experience in other subjects.

Aside from simply teaching steps, I make sure to teach leads and follows how to develop that relationship and use it to enhance their dancing. I also cover skills like musicality and styling, which transcend the lead/follow dynamic and are essential to pretty much any style of dance.
My dance students have primarily been adults ranging from beginner to advanced levels. Outside of dancing, I have 5 years of teaching experience across age groups and learning styles.
