About Carla
Hi! I’m Carla, a specialist teacher in Business studies and an experienced HOD. I’m excited to be offering my tutoring services to you! I am an experienced teacher of 10 years (6 years as HOD), I have experience teaching GCSE, A level, BTEC & most recently OCR Cambridge national level 2, all with excellent results. I’m also an examiner for GCSE EDEXCEL, which I have done for the past 6 years. I also have a great network with all exam boards which leads to extensive knowledge on the exam skills necessary to achieve excellent grades. What I can offer is an organised, pragmatic approach to tutoring, excellent subject knowledge & exam techniques suited towards your exam board!
I’m a friendly & supportive person who gets excellent results. I go beyond curriculum knowledge to help students understand how to apply the subject to the real world & the wider importance of the subject in todays’ society.
I love teaching & my reward is seeing students achieve success, which brings an amazing sense of pride for each & everyone of them. I am enthusiastic in my teaching to keep students engaged & patient allowing students to learn at a good pace.
