About Tom
I have over 10 years year’s experience working in Landscape architecture and have worked with some of the most influential designers in the profession. I am a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute
In practice, I enjoy taking a creative, resourceful and collaborative approach to design, always looking to educate, empower and engage people with places whilst bringing joy to everyday life!
It's important to begin every project with an open mind, researching, investigating, consulting people, sourcing materials and ultimately creating places that are playful, sensitive to location, robust and sustainable for future generations.
I have designed and delivered a diverse mix of schemes in London and across the UK including the implementation of the London Olympic park, the regeneration of Meridian Water (a post-industrial landscape), The Laszlo in Archway, design interventions and placemaking strategies for the Royal Docks, rewilding projects across Wales, and various high-quality courtyard spaces and roof gardens.
I have a good working knowledge of the landscape profession, its values and sustainable ethics and look forward to sharing this with others.

I take a patient, calm and considered approach to teaching, structuring sessions to suit each individual's needs. We all learn in different ways and discovering the best way for you to learn is an essential part of lessons. Lessons are for any level, age or background.
I have experience in tutoring both in academic and professional environments, including visiting tutor roles at the landscape and architecture courses at Kingston and Sheffield universities. In which I have helped students develop their understanding of landscape design, sustainability, concept design, strategic thinking, detailing and landscape theory.
